Bernell Gaskin
Director
Bernell opened Rucksack in a converted storefront on Hamilton Avenue after working with school-age children. He runs the front table at pickup, so he knows every adult on your list.
Our team
The staff at the front table
The same four people greet your child, run the afternoon and hand your child back to you.
Arminda Rodarte
Homework and reading lead
Arminda leads homework hour and the Thursday reading circle. She sits at the table with the children and leaves a note for the family when a child needs help with something.
Rayna Alderete
Summer camp lead
Rayna plans the summer weeks, from the first-week walk to the Friday show-and-tell, and covers the activity hour on school days.
Yujin Hu
Activity leader
Yujin runs the gym games and the builders' table, and counts every child each time the group moves between rooms.
Meet us at a tour
Come on a school afternoon and meet the staff while the rooms are in use.
