What to bring

Packing and the summer routine

  • Daypacks lined up on a wooden bench with unlabeled water bottles beside them

    A backpack with the basics

A lunch, a labeled water bottle, a hat and sunscreen put on at home. A change of clothes stays in the backpack.

    • Phones and toys stay home

  • A stack of paper cups and a pitcher of water on a picnic table under a pavilion

    Water and shade

Water breaks come at set times, and the pitcher is always on the table. In the hottest hours the day moves indoors.

    • Shade and indoor options on hot days

  • A row of small rain boots on a porch with mud on the soles

    Rainy days

A wet day swaps the park for the building table and the art studio. Rain boots and a jacket are welcome in the backpack.

    • Indoor plan for every week
