Family policies

We ask your written permission before we share any photo of your child, on this site, in newsletters or on social media, and you can change your answer at any time. We never put a child's name with a photo, and the photos on this site are examples until we replace them with our own.

Staff greet each child at the door and sign them in. At pickup a child leaves only with an adult on your authorized list, and we ask for photo ID from anyone we haven't met. The adult signs the child out on the sheet at the front table, with the time. If the plan for the day changes, call or text us before two in the afternoon and we will update the list.

We close at 6:30 p.m. If you are running late, call or text and a staff member stays with your child. A late pickup goes in your file, and how it is billed is in the terms you receive when you register. If it happens often, the director will call you to talk it through.

A child with a fever, vomiting or a contagious rash stays home until they have been well for a full day. If a child becomes ill here, we call the first person on your list and a staff member stays with the child until you arrive.

A simple snack opens every afternoon, such as fruit, crackers or yogurt, with water. Tell us about allergies at the tour; we ask privately once you enroll.

On days the schools close, we are closed, except for summer camp weeks. On early-dismissal days we open at dismissal. Weather closings go out by text that morning, and the Dates page lists the holiday closings.

Children do not use phones or tablets during the afternoon. A child who brings a phone keeps it switched off in the backpack, and if you need to reach your child, call us and we will bring them to the phone.

We ask for two weeks' written notice before a child leaves or changes days, so another family can have the place. Tell us on the contact form or at the front table.
